Slow Chenin Blanc is not fermented with fast-acting, or 'aroma-enhancing’ commercially selected yeast. The grapes do not take three weeks to get from vineyard to bottle. It is crafted the wild way – old vine fruit, fermented with wild yeast found naturally on the grapes…not in a packet. This magical transformation takes at least six months.

Chenin Blanc can often be overcropped, producing thin, somewhat weedy wines. This wine is the exact opposite. Packed with intense flavours of fresh Bramley apples and a touch of quince jelly this is unoaked and finishes with a delicious creaminess and lovely zingy bite.

Blanc de Mer is an unusual blend from the Cape where Riesling is virtually unknown as a blending partner; this is a wine with a lot of personality.

This vibrant Sauvignon Blanc bursts with gooseberry, honeydew melon, some white peach and hints of lemon zest on the nose. The palate shows a lovely brightness, firm acidity and definite flinty notes, unique to the Reyneke site. The wine reveals multiple layers as it opens up, with rich undertones and great complexity and a long lingering finish. A harmonious wine in all senses showing what the Reyneke Sauvignon Blanc sites can produce.

Bellingham is one of the biggest names in South African winemaking, and their Homestead range focuses on regionality and high quality fruit. Eleven months in old French oak has lent breadth to the palate along with some subtle spicy notes.
