The Parcela 12 is made up entirely of Graciano. Graciano, until recently was the colour and alcohol addition to the blend for Rioja in the north. Now, it is very much a stand-alone grape in it’s own right. The single parcela Graciano here is planted on granite soil which adds freshness and minerality to the wine. Matured for 8 months in French oak barrels, the wine has nuances of cocoa and balsamic with hints of sweet spice. This compliments the subtle floral notes and juicy fresh blackberry, plum and red cherry fruits. It is a powerful wine with a full body, smooth almost sweet tannins and an intense finish.

Made from Verdejo grapes from Parcela 52, where the soil has a high capacity to retain water and nutrients, which in the hot, dry summers of Castilla-La Mancha is particularly important in order to keep the vine in a natural balance. A selection of the best grapes from this block is bottled as Parcela 52, an expressive Verdejo with aromas of stone fruit such as apricot and slightly spiced herbal aromas. These combine perfectly with well-integrated oak aromas giving the wine great personality. Fresh yet creamy on the palate, this wine is intense and smooth with a long lingering finish.
